About Us

Fusion Broadband South Africa (Pty) Ltd is not an ISP but provides the Software Defined Wide Area Networking Services of Fusion Broadband Australia, on the African continent. Fusion won the 2020 IBM Beacon Award for Outstanding Infrastructure Services Solution. Fusion’s solution which is primarily backed by the IBM Cloud network and is applied to manage thousands of links for customers in Australia, North America, Asia, Europe and now South Africa. Only SD-WAN certified by IBM & Red Hat.

As Australia’s first SD-WAN service provider, Fusion has built a significant track record with over 200 Managed Service Providers (MSP), over 2000 private wide area networks and over 3500 voice customers. Australian government and other leading banks use Fusion SD-WAN for its reliability and security.

Australia is a big country where data is transferred over long distances over good and bad networks. For Fusion to improve the connectivity experience of its customers and overcome the network challenges, Fusion developed proprietary software algorithms within its business grade edge device to transfer data efficiently with greater security. Fusion’s initial software approach to solving a real connectivity problem was improved further over the last few years into a leading Software Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) solution.

The network connectivity challenges in Australia are very similar to the South African environment making the Fusion SD-WAN solution more appropriate and offering greater benefits to South African customers. Many competitor solutions were developed in environments with superfast reliable networks and are more complex to implement and support than actually required for the South African environment.

Network performance in South Africa does differ at each business location due to our mix of good and bad ISP connections and Fusion’s award-winning SD-WAN solution is better suited to provide businesses an enhanced connectivity experience through our automated connectivity solution with greater security that is easy to configure in seconds, implement in minutes and support with limited technical ability.

Fusion SD-WAN effectively makes the enterprise connectivity experience available to any business, whether a business with an isolated site  or a business with multiple branches creating the best private wide area network. A comprehensive SD-WAN service that is fully automated and easy to maintain without the need of onsite technical support. “It just works”
